Dating a non-Christian: Is it a Good Idea?
If you find yourself dating a Christian women and men at the same time you want to have a long lasting relationship, being on a different religion could high affect your relationship, particularly when one or the life of the other relies on his or her beliefs and when his or her religious beliefs is different from yours. But, even in Christians, the approach and outlook to dating depends even though it is relevant that you know and accept that not just the rules of dating depend in their religious belief. Furthermore, in order for a relationship to work, it is important that you accept whatever their beliefs area as most of their decisions in life are influenced and based on Christianity.
Following are the reasons why you should not date a non-Christian:
1. Connection will be broken
As Christians, they have different beliefs and values from what the world have. When your spouse has different values from you what you had, then expect that your relationship will not be going to be intimate. There would be no connection in the long run. Remember that marriage is meant to be a good relationship, which is based on a strong connection and friendship.
2. Missionary dating doesn’t work
Few Christians hope to bring out their girlfriend or boyfriend to faith throughout their relationships. However, the thing is that on a dating, romantic feelings are involved, which might affect your non-Christian date to go to church or pray and study the book with you. For sure, you don’t want to marry someone who follow Jesus just because you are able to follow Him. What you want to marry is someone who acquires a good and strong relationship with God even if you are not around.
Can We Date Outside the Faith?
Every time people fall in love, it is very simple for them to make their partner into their god. That is the main reason why it is so challenging to bring someone to Jesus throughout this type of romantic relationship as they have a god in their own life.
3. Higher chances of divorce
There is famous but false belief in the culture wherein there’s only one individual with whom you can feel true love at the same time never fall out of it. That is why people get married after they find themselves in love. Eventually, their feelings are gone and life isn’t as perfect along with that person as they thought. This is the time when they ask themselves if they marry the wrong person, or show they get divorce and keep on looking for their match? Unluckily, that’s what most people do today. The view of Christian to marriage is a commitment.

Bear in mind that the Christian view of online dating or the simple dating is that we just date someone when they may be a marriage material in the near future. That is not to say that we should rush to marriage, but somewhat that we become more intentional in selecting a date, as they might be our spouse in the near future.
